  • How Sandwich Panels Help Maintain Stable Temperatures in Poultry Farms May 30, 2026
Poultry are highly sensitive to temperature; large temperature differences can easily lead to illness and loss of appetite, directly impacting farming profits. Therefore, maintaining a stable temperature in poultry houses is crucial for successful poultry farming. Many farms now use sandwich panels to construct walls and roofs, easily achieving a constant temperature inside the house.   Sandwich panels have a three-layer composite structure: two metal protective panels on each side, and an insulating core in the middle. The middle zinc insulating layer has a very low thermal conductivity, providing excellent insulation. In summer, it blocks outside heat from entering the house, slowing down rapid temperature increases; in winter, it locks in the heat from the house's heating system and the poultry's own heat, preventing cold air from entering and significantly reducing the temperature difference between day and night. Compared to corrugated iron sheds and ordinary brick walls, sandwich panels offer better insulation, preventing stuffy days and cold nights.   The inner lining of the sandwich panels can be changed to suit different farming environments. For example, aluminum foil lining can be used for the roof of higher areas of the poultry house to prevent moisture and reduce condensation. For walls near the ground that are easily splashed with manure and wastewater, cement mortar cloth lining can be used, which is resistant to ammonia and manure corrosion and is not easily damaged by long-term washing. The thickness of the sandwich panels can be selected from 30mm to 50mm; the thicker the panel, the better the insulation effect. Farmers can choose the appropriate thickness based on the local climate and the required insulation level.   During installation, the sandwich panels are tightly joined, and the seams are sealed with sealant to prevent cold air from entering the poultry house and to prevent heat loss. Once the temperature stabilizes, frequent turning of heating or cooling equipment is unnecessary, saving considerable electricity costs. Poultry in a comfortable, constant-temperature environment are less likely to experience stress due to temperature fluctuations, resulting in more regular eating habits, faster growth, and a significantly lower probability of disease.   In summary, sandwich panels are easy to assemble, heat-insulating, durable, and cost-effective. Different thicknesses of sandwich panels can be selected according to different temperature requirements. They can maintain a stable temperature in poultry houses for a long time and improve the growth environment of poultry. They are a practical and cost-effective building material for modern poultry farms.
  • Why Sandwich Panels Are Ideal for Food Processing Factories Feb 27, 2026
The Sandwich panels are widely used in food processing factories due to their excellent thermal insulation, good moisture and water resistance, corrosion resistance, and excellent fire resistance.     1. Excellent thermal insulation performance. Generally, the thermal conductivity of PU/PIR sandwich panels is between 0.020 and 0.024 [W/(m·K)], providing good thermal insulation and effectively controlling indoor and outdoor temperatures to ensure food freshness.   2. Seamless splicing during assembly ensures good sealing, reducing the risk of bacteria and mold growth and enabling dust-free workshops.   3. The core material used in sandwich panels has a high closed-cell rate, is non-absorbent, and offers excellent waterproof and moisture-proof performance, ensuring food freshness.   4. The color-coated steel plates used in sandwich panels have high structural strength, strong load-bearing capacity, and good corrosion resistance.   5. Sandwich panels generally have a fire rating of B1 (PIR sandwich panels) or A (rock wool sandwich panels), offering excellent fire resistance and making them more suitable for high-temperature food processing workshops;   6. Sandwich panels are produced in modular form, requiring only on-site installation and splicing, resulting in simple construction, short construction period, less dust, and high cost-effectiveness.
  • Common Mistakes When Purchasing Sandwich Panels for Industrial Use Feb 16, 2026
There are many types of sandwich panels, and common mistakes when choosing industrial sandwich panels include:   1. Focusing solely on price and selecting panels incompatible with the core material. EPS sandwich panels are the cheapest and generally only used in ordinary factories. PU/PIR sandwich panels are chosen for cold storage, while rock wool sandwich panels are chosen for large logistics warehouses.   2.Confusing roofing and wall panels. Wall panels cannot be used directly for roofing. Roofing requires high-strength roofing panels with corrugated peaks to withstand strong winds and rain/snow.   3.Ignoring the density of the core material. Generally, EPS density ranges from 10kg/m³ to 20kg/m³, which can be selected based on different insulation requirements; Rock wool density ranges from 80kg/m³ to 140kg/m³. It is generally not recommended to use less than 90kg/m³ for walls and less than 100kg/m³ for roofs.   4.     Ignoring the thickness requirements of the sandwich panel steel plate The thickness of the top and bottom plates of the sandwich panel can be determined according to the strength requirements of the building. Common thicknesses are 0.4mm to 0.8mm.   5.Ignoring the zinc coating thickness requirements of the sandwich panel Generally, the thicker the zinc coating, the better the corrosion resistance. Industrial buildings typically require AZ100 or AZ150.   6.Ignoring the color coating requirements of the sandwich panel steel plate PE coating can be used in ordinary environments, while PVDF coating can be used in coastal or highly corrosive environments.   7.Incorrect calculation of sandwich panel length, leading to excessive splicing It is recommended to provide CAD drawings. Our technical engineers will calculate the accurate number and length of panels to avoid errors.   8.Ignoring panel load-bearing capacity and span The panel thickness needs to be calculated based on the purlin spacing, load, and wind force of the industrial building to avoid placing orders blindly.
