  • Key Factors B2B Buyers Should Consider When Purchasing Insulated Panels? Jun 02, 2026
First thing you must check is the core material. This is the heart of panel. You have a few choice. PU and PIR are the best if you want to control temperature. They have very low thermal conductivity (only 0.020), so they keep heat and cold out very good. PIR is also better for fire, we call it B1 level. But if your factory strictly need fire safety? You must use Rock wool. It will not burn even 1000 degree! For EPS... it is very cheap and light, but bad for fire and water. Only use EPS in dry place and you really have tight budget.   Next is the outer steel skin. This protect the panel from weather and scratch. You must look at the zinc and paint carefully. I always tell client use at least Z100 or Z150 galvanization to stop rust. If your project is near the sea or very wet place, normal steel is dead. You must pick aluminum-zinc alloy like Galvalume. For paint, indoor use normal polyester is ok. But under big sun or you need wash it everyday, please buy PVDF coating. Good supplier will explain this to you, not just sell what they have in stock.   How to check if the supplier is good? You want reliable, not just cheap panel. If they reply your message after 2 days... just say goodbye. Ask them about repeat customer, people buy again means trust. Also you must verify their fire certificate (like EN 13501 or ASTM E84). This prove their panel actually work. If possible, ask them send a 30x30 cm sample to your office. You can feel the quality by your hand.   Also think about custom. Can they cut panel to your exact size? Can they make 40mm to 200mm thickness? Can they do special RAL color for you? More flexible supplier mean you don't need to compromise. Packaging is super important too! I see so many broken panel after long shipping. Ask them use steel pallet, so you don't pay fumigation fee, and strong edge protection keep panel safe.   If you are B2B buyer, Propanel (propaneltech.com) is a very good choice. We only focus on sandwich panels and we take time to study your project environment. It is real cost-effective.
  • ROI Analysis: Are Sandwich Panels a Smart Long-Term Investment? Mar 03, 2026
Let's start with energy bills. Sandwich panels cut energy use by 2-5% compared to regular walls. That saves you money over 15 to 50 years. They cost less over time because they keep heat in better. Some tests show sandwich panels perform 30-50% better at keeping temperature stable. For places like cold storage, this means lower electric bills every month. Installation costs matter too. Sandwich panels go up fast. They cut labor costs by 40-60% compared to bricks or blocks. No waiting for mortar to dry or bad weather delays. Jobs that took months now take weeks. The faster you finish, the faster you start making money.   Durability is strong with sandwich panels. If you install and care for them right, they last 25-35 years. After 10 years, they still keep 92% of their insulation power. Traditional walls lose insulation when wet or moved. Rock wool cores resist fire and heat. PIR cores resist moisture and keep their value. Galvanized steel stops rust early. You’re buying a wall that works for decades.   Maintenance is simple and cheap. You need to clean, check seals, and inspect edges once a year. It costs about $1.20 to $3.00 per square meter yearly. Doing this saves you 38% of total costs over 20 years. Skipping maintenance can cause early failure and big repair bills. In humid places, neglect can mean repainting or replacing panels in 8-10 years instead of 25. That’s not saving money. It’s risking it.   Resale value is better with sandwich panels. Buyers want energy-efficient, strong buildings. Inspectors notice this too. If you need to move or reuse panels, many can be taken down and used again. Some panels from the 1990s still work well today. This is a smart, long-term investment.
  • How to Choose the Right Sandwich Panel Supplier for Your Project Feb 02, 2026
First, decide what core material you need in your panels. EPS (expanded polystyrene) is cheap and light. Use it only in dry places where fire risk is low. Rockwool is fireproof and blocks sound well. It works for factories or places with strict fire rules. PU (polyurethane) and PIR (polyisocyanurate) are best for tight temperature control. PU keeps cold in with low thermal conductivity. PIR is like PU but better at resisting fire. Choose PU or PIR for cold rooms or cleanrooms.   Next, the steel skin matters. Check three things: thickness, zinc coating, and paint. Use steel 0.5mm to 0.6mm thick. Thinner steel dents and bends too easily. Zinc coating should be at least Z100 or Z150 to stop rust. If you are near the ocean or in humid areas, ask for zinc-aluminum-magnesium coatings—they resist rust better. For paint, polyester is okay indoors. For sun or washdowns, use PVDF or special antibacterial paint.   A good supplier will ask about your project: location, temperature needs, and how long you want it to last. They will match core thickness, steel thickness, and coating to your needs. Propanel focuses on PU and PIR panels because they work best for cold and clean rooms. They don’t just sell panels; they help you build something that lasts.   Cheapest panels cost more in the long run. Panels that fail in a few years mean more money wasted. Pick a supplier who cares about your project. Ask questions, check details, and choose a partner who supports you. That’s who you want.
